WHY

Why would my business use a Business Operating Platform?

A Business Operating Platform gives supported everyday work one foundation. Products, customer details, sales, people, files, and business context can stay easier to follow without pretending every separate tool must disappear on day one.

WHAT

What is Trio BOP?

Trio BOP is a Business Operating Platform. It begins with Free Business Core for foundational business work, then lets a business add optional Managers for more specialized capabilities.

WHAT

What is Free Business Core?

Free Business Core is the permanent starting foundation for a verified Trio user who explicitly creates a business. It supports foundational areas such as business and branch structure, basic products and services, customers, Core POS, people and access, files, and settings where currently supported. Optional products remain separate.

WHAT

What are Trio Managers?

Managers are optional software products that add specialized business functions to Core. A business can choose individual Managers instead of unlocking every advanced capability at once; dependencies and availability still apply.

WHEN

When does Trio Complete make sense?

Compare the current individual Manager offers with the workflows your business needs. Contact Trio for bundle availability and terms; do not assume a bundle includes every product.

WHAT IF

What happens to my paid access if I cancel renewal?

Cancellation stops a future renewal; it does not shorten the term already paid. Monthly access continues through the paid month and prepaid access through its expiration. After that, new paid Manager work may stop while Free Core and supported retained records remain.

WHY

Why it matters

Why would my business use a Business Operating Platform?

Why does connected work matter?

A useful detail should not need to be rebuilt at every handoff. Keeping supported records in the same business context can make the next step clearer and reduce repeated entry, while permissions still decide who can see or change the work.

See how connected work is organized
Why organize businesses and locations separately?

An owner may need the broad view while a branch team needs the work for one location. Trio keeps Personal, Business, and Branch views distinct so the view can become more relevant without changing ownership or granting access.

HOW

How Trio works

How do I start with Trio?

Create and verify your Trio account, then explicitly create the business you want to operate. Free Business Core is the starting point; you can consider optional capability when the real workflow calls for it.

See the ways to begin
How do Business and Branch views work?

Business view focuses on one business as a whole. Branch view narrows supported work to one operating location. Changing view changes the context you see; it does not copy the business, change its owner, or grant a new permission.

How do I choose which Manager I need?

Start with the job the business needs to do, then compare that workflow with the current Manager descriptions and dependencies. Choosing one focused capability is valid; contact Trio for any bundle availability.

WHO

Who it fits

Who is Trio designed for?

Trio is designed around people running real businesses who want a useful foundation now and a clearer way to add capability later. Current public examples include neighborhood retail, service businesses, multi-location operations, and new ventures.

Who may be a fit for the Pilot Business Program?

The Pilot is for selected operating businesses with a real workflow to evaluate, the ability to use an agreed starting set, and a willingness to share practical feedback. Expressing interest does not guarantee selection.

Understand Pilot participation
Can team members and customers use Trio too?

Authorized team members can work in the business or branch areas available to them. Where the business enables and links a supported relationship, customer and employee portals can provide a focused view of the information that relationship is allowed to use.

WHEN

When to add more

When has a spreadsheet-only workflow become too limited?

A useful signal is repeated reconstruction: the same details are copied across tools, the next person cannot see the current context, or each location maintains a separate version of the same work. Trio can provide a connected starting point where its current capabilities fit.

Compare connected and separate approaches
When does another Manager make sense?

Add a Manager when a specialized workflow, control, report, or supported automation has become useful enough to justify the capability. Core remains the foundation, so growth does not require buying every Manager at once.

WHERE

Where the work happens

Where do owners and teams work in Trio?

Owners can begin from a Personal overview of businesses they own, then enter a Business or Branch context. Team members work only in the destinations and capabilities their relationship and permissions allow.

Explore the workspace structure
Where do portals and focused work experiences fit?

Portals give a supported business relationship its own focused experience. Operation Apps can focus assigned work for a person. Both remain subject to current availability, relationship, assignment, and permission rules; they are not universal access to the whole business.

Where do I find step-by-step product Help?

Public Learn explains business ideas, fit, and current buying questions. Detailed product-use Help stays inside the authenticated Trio application so guidance can appear in the context of the account and available workspaces.

WHAT IF

What if things change?

What if I only need one capability?

Start with Free Business Core and add an individual Manager only when that capability fits. Trio does not require Complete simply because one optional workflow is useful.

See individual Manager choices
What happens to my paid access if I cancel renewal?

Cancellation stops a future renewal; it does not shorten the term already paid. Monthly access continues through the paid month and prepaid access through its expiration. After that, new paid Manager work may stop while Free Core and supported retained records remain.

What if I want to leave Trio?

Business Owners have a supported Workbook export path through Data & Portability. The available format, authorization, package size, and delivery controls still apply; Learn does not promise an unrestricted or automatic migration to another product.

See the current portability position
What if I add businesses or locations later?

A Personal overview can support multiple owned businesses, while each business keeps its own records and authority. Within a business, Branch context can narrow supported work to an operating location without merging separate businesses together.
